history

Außengelände Orgentis Chemicals

Orgentis location in Gatersleben,
Germany

Since 1991, Orgentis Chemicals has been providing developments of synthetic procedures and chemical synthesis for our customers.

Orgentis Chemicals produces and delivers chemicals for special applications from laboratory scale to semi-bulk quantities, including pure enantiomers of chiral compounds, derivatives of amino acids and carbohydrates.

One main focus of our activities is the purification and separation of natural products and synthetic organic compounds.

We synthesize molecules according to your requirements for your individual convenience.

More than 1000 square meters well equipped multi-purpose laboratories and pilot plant facilities allow the use of many different technologies.

Orgentis follows over 150 years of industrial tradition at this location.

In 1847 Andreas Friedrich Eggeling founded the sugar factory “Zuckerfabrik Gatersleben”. In 1972 the factory was transformed to a company for drying agricultural products.

In 1991 the “Chemisches Laboratorium Dr. Vorbrodt” was founded at this place and later it became the “Chemisches Laboratorium Dr. Vorbrodt GmbH”, with the core activities research and development in organic synthesis and delivery of chemicals in laboratory scale.

During the following successful years the activities were extended to pilot plant synthesis and production scale separation by chromatographic methods including HPLC and SMB. Concerning these new broader activities the company name was changed to Orgentis Chemicals.

Today the range of our products and services is even more attractive. Not only as a supplier and manufacturer of speciality chemicals; as a provider in the field of organic chemistry, Orgentis understands the key issues in HPLC-separations.
